The BackBlast:
Superbowl inspired me to peruse the backblast archive for themed workouts. I didn’t find one but I did find a version of the following workout from the Beehive a couple of years ago. A shout out to the Qs who write semi-detailed backblasts. They are a great resource.
Warm-a-rama: mosey down the street to “Death Valley” for Neck Roll, Trunk Roll, Grass Picker, Abe Vigoda, Toy Soldier, Plank Jack, Shoulder Taps
The Thang
Mosey to the concession stand where the field was marked off in 10-yard increments
- Lunge Walk 100 yards, stopping every 10 yards to do 5 Squats. The quads were burning by the 50-yard line.
- Partner up for Ranger Merkin/Log Jumps to the 50-yard line. While one knocks out a few Merkins, the other jumps over and drops to do merkins. It is essentially like doing burpees across the field
- Bear Crawl the remaining 50 yards, stopping every 10 yards to do 5 Spider Merkins
Mosey to the playground
- 15 Burpee to Pull up
- 15 Underdogs
- 15 Ab Roll outs
- 15 Derkins (IC)
- 15 Bulgarian Split Squats each leg (IC)
- 15 Dips (IC)
Mosey to the bandstand
In turn, each PAX called out an exercise for the rest to do while they ran out ~ 50 yards and back
