The Thang:
A disjointed stream on ideas created this particular Q. This general idea was found from a Back Blast from a different PAX ( I looked at so many, so I don’t remember which gets the credit). Another inspiration was a statement stuck in my head “two tears in a bucket”. The statement is from a Wu Tang song (Thanks to Co-Pay for reminding me). Defined as “It doesn’t matter, who cares. Said to express acceptance of or unconcern for the consequences of something”. I think that idea felt right for today’s THANG.
The THANG is a version of F3 Tag. The Q supplied two 5-gallon buckets filled with rocks. (The exact weight is unknown, but an uncomfortable amount.) Each PAX got a number. The Q would call a number at random. At which time, that PAX would take the two buckets and run (or attempt) around the park. While the lucky PAX was running the other PAXs would perform an exercise. Once the exercise was completed (OYO) the PAX would chase the fleeing PAX member. When the six caught up to the buckets another number would be called and so on and so forth, until the end of time…….
It would be 1 exercise at a time. These exercises would spell out BUCKET.
B- Burpees
U- Up/Downs
C- Carolina Dry Docks
K- Kraken Burpees (The push up portion of a Burpee turns into 3 hand release Mericans)
E- E2K (Elbow to Knees- Oblique Crunch)
T- Twinkle Toes (Al Gore with calf raises)
A PAX would run with the buckets while the remainder did Burpees. Once the buckets were caught another PAX would run with the buckets while the remainder did Up/Downs. Once the buckets were caught another PAX would run with the buckets while the remainder did Kraken Burpees. Etc, etc, etc,
Instead of “Two tears in a bucket” it was more “Two buckets and allots of tears!”
Round of Mary- We did 2 minutes of Mary V-Ups and Box Cutters.
