Working in the Field

Last minute grab of the Q by YHC! Probably a good thing, because with my shoulders still shredded from Tuck’s “Descending Testicles” (check the exicon), I declared it Leg and Core day at The Chieftain!

Warmup: Various exercises including but not limited to Copperhead Squat, Imperial Walkers, SSH and The Dial Up, followed by Football or Soccer drills outlining the parking spaces all the way down the parking lot and back (forward, side shuffle, backward, side shuffle, etc).

The Thang: Though the Atlanta Braves did not make the World Series, in honor of an incredible season none the less, we did a little work on the Baseball field.

4 rounds around the bases with a different mode of travel each time, stopping at each base to complete an exercise with increasing number of reps each round, with a 1/4 mile recovery mosey between rounds.

Round 1: Lunge Walk around the bases with 10, 20, 30 and 40 Air Squats

Round 2: Bear Crawl around the bases with 10, 20, 30 and 40 Big Bois

Round 3: Broad Jump around the bases with 10, 20, 30 and 40 Monkey Humpers

Round 4: Crawl Bear around the bases with 10, 20, 30 and 40 LBCs

No time for Mary, but our mid sections were sufficiently worked throughout the beatdown.
