Walking with Christ

Conditions: It was a dark, dry, but windy start of the day with a temperature of 45 degrees…later to cool down to 38 degrees by the end of the beatdown.

“Thang:” Only me, Dynamite, posted to the ruck this morning. The ruck started at the Shimerville Rd parking lot and continued east onto PA Ave. I continued east on PA Ave and turned south onto 12th St, east onto Arch St, south/southeast for ~1/3 of a mile on the gravel trail to South Mountain Dr. I blazed up South Mountain Dr to an address of 4980 South Mountain Dr and began descending the back side of South Mountain Dr before the 0600 alarm went off. I jogged the entire downhill until reaching the flat portion of South Mountain Dr and fast walked the remainder of the way back to the ‘Hive’. I was afforded the opportunity to have intimate time with God during this ruck this morning, giving mostly praise to God for a joyful experience and answer to a prayer from yesterday, prayer for all who are panic stricken from the current external circumstances and to help all of us love one another as Christ instructed us to do and to help a fellow neighbor in need. I feel this virus is an opportunity for all of us as a community to come together and glorify Him through loving our neighbor as we love ourselves (if we love ourselves). Be joyful givers and humble ourselves before God. I reached back to the ‘Hive’ with six minutes to spare before leading the beatdown at 0630. Total distance covered: 3.8 miles (new all time high for a Saturday morning ruck).
