Conditions: It was a humid start to the ruck from Lil Le Hi with a slow rise of the sun and a temperature of 71 degrees.
“Thang:”
YHC started the ruck solo, but didn’t finish solo. YHC trekked north from Lil Le Hi parking lot to the longest and steepest hill on the parkway and then turned east to descend to the first bridge. Then I trekked east under the 78 underpass, over a short, steep hill, descending to the bottom and stopping at the covered bridge, where I turned around. This was the mid-point at 1.1 miles. On my way back under the just a few hundred yards away from the covered bridge I noticed Dr. Seuss sitting on the bench and was surprisingly delighted to see him. We both trekked the same route in reverse back to the start. Seuss and I mumble chattered on what work he was/is doing, as well as, my work and we both caught up on some of the events of each other’s weekends. All together, we covered 2.2 miles.
