Conditions: It was a dry, cloudy start at 0435 for the ruck at The Swamp. It was cool with a temperature of 41 degrees.
“Thang:” I, Dynamite, rucked solo with a 25# ruck sack. I started in the parking lot of The Swamp and then headed south to Main St. followed by a east onto Main St. The route continued east on Main St, then south onto Glenwood Dr., west on Vine St, south on Fairview St., east onto Hill St., southeast onto Hillcrest Dr. to the end of the col-de-sac, turned around to go northeast on Hillcrest Dr. I trekked north onto Glenwood Dr., and west down Main St back to the Swamp.
I spent the first half mile singing praises to God with two songs “O Come to the Altar” by Elevation Worship and “No Longer Slaves” by Bethel Music. For the remainder of the ruck I walked in silence of God’s presence to talk with him and pray. I also had a good laugh with God because he does have a sense of humor. See 1 Kings 18. Elijah mocks the prophets of Ahab for worshipping Baals and nothing happens because there is only one true God and he was about to prove that. I love these intimate moments with God, my Father!
