The clown car from Indian Valley down to Valley Forge is getting fuller, as both Fonda and Munchkin joined YHC on the short drive down 113 and 29 into the beautiful borough of Phoenixville and it’s crown jewel, the Blast Furnace!
This was Munchin’s first time experiencing another F3 AO and I was on Q! It had been a while since we brought out the F3 Workout Deck of Cards, so I thought it would be fun to dust them off and teach my nephew a new card game! 🙂
8 PAX gathered and we were off for a shorter 1/2 lap mosey around the park, then continued the warmup on the sidewalk in the middle of the park:
Arm Circles x 10 IC
Circle Arms x 10 IC
Seal Claps x 10 IC
Goofballs x 10 IC
Weedpickers x 10 IC
Since we were going right by the beautiful new wall they built for us behind the bandstand stage and, like Spike says, its hard to pass by it without using it for something, I challenged the PAX to a little BTTW until muscle failure competition. I lost. Spike won!
Having swallowed my pride, we continued over to the stage where the beautiful deck of cards was waiting. Shuffled the cards and had Fonda cut the deck so I could not be accused of stacking the cards and we were off!
Rotating around the circle (which eventually got wider because of the brilliance frequently escaping from Einstein’s six and shifted around because Bloomers wasn’t happy with all of the trash near his spot) we took turns drawing a card and performing the prescribed exercise and rep count based on the card, and each time completing the circle we took an “active recovery” mosey to around Mr. Reeves and back.
Fan favorites were the 300 m sprint (Munchkin beat me by a split second), 100 calf raises (really feeling those this morning as I write this), 100 flutter kicks, 25 Burpees and 13 Chuck Norris Merkins (Knerkins)!
Got about 3/4 of the way through the deck. No time for Mary (the 100 flutters and various other ab exercises probably sufficed)…
