Frozen on the Fen

It was very cold at the Swamp but that doesn’t alliterate very well…it was 9°F with a light breeze which pushed the limits of our zero degree cancellation policy.  Nonetheless, two PAX swallowed the red pill this morning and posted for a frosty frolic in the fen (ah, that is more catchy!).  What a great way to start off the first work day of the New Year – overcoming the first adversity to present itself – leaving the warm comfort of the fartsack.

The companionship of just two PAX provided for some great mumblechatter.

Quick disclosure – the second PAX promised not to sue YHC.

The PAX moseyed to the Band Shell to seek some meager shelter from the breeze for Warm-a-rama:

Arm circles, Huggy Bears, Abe Vigoda, SSH, Plank Jacks, Peter Parkers

The Thang:

11’s: 10 Merkins/1 Squat; ladder to 1 Merkin/10 Squats; in between travel across the stage with Bear Crawl, Dragon Walk, Crawl Bear, Duck Walk, Crab Walk forward, Crab Walk backward, Lunge Walk, and Staggered Merkin Crawls

~ 10 Box Jumps and then off to the playground for 2 rounds of Pullups and reverse rows on the swings to failure.

The workout was rounded out with a lap around the block.  The final approach to the parking lot was especially refreshing with a brisk artic-like wind blowing toward us.
