The Thang

Simple does not mean easy. A beatdown I attended in the First State region i needed to share. It is simple in it is only 5 exercises done within a 90 seconds time frame. The remaining time is recovery and gives us the opportunity to discuss a topic. From a combination of a sermon at church, coming back from vacation, and looking forward I wanted to discuss the idea of constant growth or improvement and acceleration; which leads me into deceleration and plateaus.
After priming the PAX minds and hearts with the potatoes portion of our entrée, I revealed the meat portion.
5 exercises. 1 burpee, 2 Squats, 3 merkins, 4 mountain Climbers, 5 SSH. Those 5 are 1 set. We must complete 2 sets within a 90 seconds. Each 90 seconds is 1 round. The THANG is 20 rounds.
Totals:
40 burpees
80 Squats
120 merkins
160 mountain Climbers
200 SSH.

Simple, but not easy. Great conversation around the topic. Some highlights for me, Short Circuit is a modern day philosopher (dropping a few good quotes), is it a deceleration if is it planned (thinking recovery/injury), and it is easier to accelerate/growth in areas of life that are more rewarding.
