It had been a while since YHC led a musical workout at the Blast Furnace and I was looking for a good use of my new Bluetooth Speaker, so it didn’t take long to decide what we should do…plus Element hadn’t seen my very professional and manly whiteboard yet so there was that reason as well.

Sprint/Race full lap around the perimeter of the AO (1/2 mile) – to really push the guys who don’t call themselves runners out of their comfort zone
Catch our breath and then Seal Claps x 15 IC 4CT
Mosey over to the bandstand for the THANG.
A list of exercises was ready on the whiteboard and a 30 minute playlist was hand selected by YHC and we were ready to go.
The first song was Up Down by Morgan Wallen (3:16) and the exercise was the Merkin. The PAX started out in the down merkin position and Morgan instructed us when to go “Up Down, Up Down, Up Down”. We quickly realized how difficult it is to hold plank in the down merkin position so I believe most (including myself) quickly transitioned to “Down Up, Down Up, Down Up”.
For the remainder of the songs and exercises we partnered up and while one partner did the exercise, the other partner ran around Mr. Reeves and back to rescue his partner.

Lots of groans throughout (myself included) and noticeable sweat marks on the pavement from all.
Couple of minutes of Mary included Hello Dollys and LBCs
