Conditions: Dawn was beginning to make her appearance upon The Bee Hive at 0530. It was a clear, but brisk start to the ruck with a temperature of 34 degrees.
“Thang:” Only me, Dynamite, posted to the ruck this morning. I got started promptly at 0530 this morning. The ruck started at the Shimerville Rd parking lot and continued east onto PA Ave. I continued east on PA Ave and turned south onto 12th St, east onto Arch St, south/southeast for ~1/3 of a mile on the gravel trail to South Mountain Dr. I trekked up South Mountain Dr to the mailbox 4886 when the 0600 alarm sounded. My legs were weary from the 12.5 mile hike on Good Friday. I walked my way back to the ‘Hive’. I was afforded the opportunity to have intimate time with God during this ruck this morning. I spent time giving a lot of praise to God for all that He is to me and all that He does and doesn’t do in my life. I prayed for others and their respective burdens on my heart and placed them at the foot of the cross. I sang praises to God through gospel music. I reached back to the ‘Hive’ with one minute to spare before leading the beatdown at 0630. Total distance covered: 3.6 miles.
