Conditions: It was a cloudy, dewy but dry start to the ruck with a temperature of 71 degrees.
Only, I, Dynamite posted for the ruck, which was ok because I used that time to have mumble chatter with my Heavenly Father. I spent time asking some questions, pleading for help to heal, and prayed for others.
“Thang:” The ruck started promptly at 0530 from the Shimerville Rd parking lot and trekked east onto PA Ave. A right turn was made onto 12th St, followed by a left onto Arch St. I trekked into Chestnut Hill (Rodale) park traveling south/southeast-west to 10th St. I did run into a gentleman walking his dog on the trail. I usually see this man walking his dog every Saturday at the same time and I usually meet him at the same point on the trail. I then traveled west onto 10th St/South Mountain Dr to the top of the hill just past the South Mountain Dog Training Center before the 0600 alarm sounded. The route was flapjacked and arrived back to The Bee Hive singing “Unsainted” by Slipknot with three minutes to spare before the 0630 beatdown. Total distance: 3.5 miles.
