Ruck – Beehive

Conditions: It was a mildly cold, partly cloudy, dry, and dark start to the ruck this morning.

“Thang:” Only I, Dynamite, posted for the ruck this morning. The ruck started in the Shimerville Rd parking lot and trekked east on PA Ave, south on 12th St, east on Arch St, south/southwest on the gravel trail for 1/3 of a mile, west/southwest on 10th St/South Mountain Rd. Because I was solo, I ramped up the pace to exceed the normal turnaround mark to the Burkholder Reserve near the summit of South Mountain Rd by 0600. I cadence jogged down most of South Mountain Rd to keep the HR elevated and returned to a fast walk on level surfaces. Great mumble chatter was had between me and God. I’m reading “Anxious for Nothing” by Max Lucado and the chapter I finished explicitly stated to be specific when humbly petitioning my requests to God. So I had a candid conversation with Him about my feelings and asked specifically for His help in certain areas of my life to continue accelerating me toward His will and purpose. I returned to the ‘Hive’ with five minutes to spare, shed some layers, dropped the 25# pack, get a drink and prepare myself for leading the Warm-a-Rama for the 0630 beatdown. Distance covered: 3.6 miles!
