Ruck 1/18/20

Conditions:

It was a cold 20 degrees, partly cloudy morning with an overwhelming sense of peace with the impending snow later in the day.

“Thang:”

Three HIM’s committed and braved the conditions to start the ruck from the Shimerville Rd parking lot to hike with a blazing pace to 12th St, onto the gravel trail for 3/4 of a mile, then up the breathtaking (literally) 10th street hill. There was great mumble chatter on the topic of personal finance, sports, and Christ. Dynamite was back to rucking with a full weight pack, as his Achilles was without pain. The three HIM’s reached the normal check point two minutes before Dynamite’s 0600 alarm went off and returned to the hive with six minutes to spare. Dr. Seuss picked up the pace descending 10th street that left Quadzilla doing a slow jog down the hill and Dynamite to increase stride to keep pace. Strong work Seuss!

Definitely missed some of the “normal” HIM’s that join in on the ruck. I encourage all HIM’s to answer the ruck call at the ‘Hive’ at 0530 on Saturday morning’s.
