Ruck 01/14/20

Today marked the first day of an afternoon ruck session, normally held in early morning prior to a beatdown. I was noticing no one attending the ruck early in the morning on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, so I decided to offer the ruck in the afternoon. The ruck was held at Trexler Park in Allentown, PA (just down the road from Wegmans) from 1600 to 1700. It was a mild and damp ruck going 0.0 due to an Achilles injury. In the 53 minutes I 0.0 rucked, I completed 3.5 miles or two large laps round Trexler Park. There were a handful of people walking or running that braved the elements to improve each of one’s health. My Achilles did mind the second lap with considerably more discomfort than the first lap. Next ruck will be on Thursday at the same time, same place. For those interested in attending, meet (stand) at the Springhouse Road or main park entrance. I drive a gray Hyundai Sonata Hybrid with a Flyers plate on the front. If my car isn’t there, it may mean I actually walked from my apartment, which is just over a quarter mile away from the main entrance of the park, to meet.
