Three of us linked up on a wet Saturday in Reeves Park. The disclaimer was given and we moseyed to the stage area for a quick warm up. From there we did a lap around the park, stopping at each corner to do an escalating number of burpees. Franks & Beans gave us good insight into the life and travels of Thomas Paine as we ran. The Thang involved three exercise combos followed by a lap around the statue of Mr Reeves. Examples would be 10 merkins, 20 side straddle hops, 10 reverse lunges and then a run. After four sets we did several plank variations and a then a full lap around the park. We rinsed and repeated as the rain continued to hold off. After our second lap, we finished up in a Georgia Southern ab workout. We ended up completely smoked after a medley of lbcs, Hello Dollies, Egg Beaters, Cherry Pickers, Big Boy Sit Ups, Rosalitas, Flutter Kicks, Freddie Mercury’s and Dying Cockroaches. The small group lent itself to great mumble chatter throughout the beat down. The CoT focused on healing of sick, a strong recovery for our boy Spike and all the best to Franks & Beans for his forthcoming book.
