On this gorgeous summer morning, we began with an abbreviated disclaimer & WarmaRama: neck rolls, arm circles, trunk rolls, & Monkey Humpers. After a short mosey to the ‘padded playground’ we began the assessment: maximum reps within 2 minutes: merkins, squats, burpees, sit-ups & pull-ups. Lots of encouragement of our brothers to achieve their maximum (although it’s NOT a competition)! B4 transitioning to the next exercise we shared thoughts (& scripture) about Accountability, this week’s theme. The essence of these remarks was that the best accountability is achieved with another brother; we all tend to let ourselves ‘off the hook’ too readily, often without even realizing it. The final activity was a timed 1-mile run. In the CoT Dynamite shared some upcoming events & Drainfield closed us out in prayer. . . a great start to the Independence Day weekend!
