With the Murph around the corner and the Spartan in less than 2 months, I thought it would be good to focus on both with plenty of merkins and burpees and moseying. 4 of us posted at 5am for 2.4 mile EBS. Then on to the beatdown.

Conditions: humid, 72, slightly overcast, breeze out of the west at 4mph.

Kicked off at 5:30 sharp. Disclaimers agreed to so we hit it.

Warm Ups: the usual parade of stretched from the top down, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillys, then on the ground for Mtn Climbers, Peter Parkers. On to 3 THANGS!

3 Minute Dead Hang from Hell: 3 minute timer starts the dead hang for at least one minute, then as long as  you can. If (when) you drop, then do 6 burpees and back up for more deadhanging… rinse/repeat

The Burpee Mound: Line up at the 100′ mound in the west field of the park. Do 1 Burpee then scramble over to the other side of the mound and do another burpee. Go back and forth until you’ve completed 20. Seems harmless enough – until you get to 12 or 13 burpees at which point the mound becomes a hill. Turns the screws on your endurance level. We all battled and finished. Great team work, great to see the encouragement and support in our group.

11’s: 10 merkins to 1 WWII’s, then mosey to the other side for 9 merkins to 2 WWII’s…
