Kettle Corn was scheduled to Q but had to change plans so I reached into my files and pulled one of my favorite workouts that I’ve lead a few times. 13 PAX posted for a beautiful summer morning workout, bringing a lot of energy and good humor.
Warm-a-rama: mosey to “Death Valley” for Arm Circles, Trunk Rolls, Abe Vigoda, Toy Soldiers, Side Lunges, BSE, and Mountain Climbers
Teardrop and The Rock joined us during the warm-a-rama; they were delayed due to a bear being on their porch. Never a dull moment; that’s what you get when you live in a campground!
Mosey back to the shovel flag stopping along the way for each man to pick up a pair of bricks.
The Thang
One of my favorite verses is Micah 6:8 which I turned into a workout for better memory retention.
“He has told you O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”
O Man: 10 Manmakers
Good: Greta 1-2-3: Pair up and each pair complete cummulative reps while one PAX runs out around the score board (~ 40 yards out) while carrying bricks:
- 100 Steps ups (hold bricks)
- 200 American Hammers (with bricks, of course)
- 300 Squat/Press (with bricks)
Justice: Jack Jack Webb: 1 Merkin/1 Plank Jack/ 1 Overhead Press (bricks); ladder up to 10 of each
Kindness: Killer B’s: Bear Crawl ~ 20 yards, Br0ad Jump ~ 30 yards, complete 10 Burpees
Walk Humbly: Choice of Alligator Crawl and/or Duck Walk back to the shovel flag (~ 40 yards)
Mary: Dealer’s Choice — Six Inches, Box Cutters, Freddie Mercury, Reverse Crunches, Crunchy Frogs, Dips, Declined Merkin, and probably a few more I don’t recall
COT: Pool party at Ditto’s home on Thursday; praise for good reports on some of the children we’ve been prayer for
Most of the PAX made their way to Four Twelve for coffeeteria.
Another great start to a great day.
