04/13/2024 - Grill - Baker’s Dozen

Originally hoping to do another trail run but it was a little too drizzly so we opted to stick closer to the shelter of the park.  The PAX kept coming with a couple arriving after we started the warm-a-rama for a total of 13.  Pocahontas had a valid excuse because he lost power last evening.  It was also good to see Wiggles back in the mix.

Warm-a-rama: Arm Circles, Trunk Rolls, Toy Soldiers, Imperial Walkers, Abe Vigoda, Cobra, Calf Stretch, BSE, Plank Jacks

The Thang

We attempted Plank Compass but the PAX didn’t capture the idea of forming a circle with feet pointing in toward the center.  We failed at this attempt but the buck stops with the Q so I guess I have to take responsibility for not adequately explaining the exercise to these blockheads…(how’s that for assuming responsibility?)

Princess Tea Party: Partner up and do Patty Cake Merkins while the Q recites “Patty Cake Patty Cake…” then do a partner People Chair back to back with a 10-count each.

Pyramid Pushups: 1 to 7 and then back down to 1

Lt Dan: 1 Squat: 1 Lunge Walk up to 10 Squats: 10 Lunge Walks — we made our way from the paved walkway by the bandstand over to the tennis courts

Elevens: 1 Dip:10 Step Ups to 10 Dips: 1 Step Up

Mosey down to Island Street and up to the corner of Peach Alley and down to the baseball dugouts

Dead Hang off the dugouts for a 10-count each

Pause for a Q Point on Delegation from Potsie

Mosey down Peach Alley to the playground

10 In/Outs IC

10 Bulgarian Split Squats each leg IC

Mosey down Franklin Street and around to the bandstand

Captain Thor: 1 Big Boy Sit up: 4 American Hammers up to 5 Big Boys: 20 American Hammers

Crab Walk across bandstand and Crawl Bear back

5 Catalina Wine Mixers each arm IC

5 No Surrender each leg IC

WMD: 5 each of Wide, Regular, and Diamond Merkins then down to 1 of each

COT: Men’s Breakfast next Saturday at TBC; the workout will be held in the church parking lot prior to the breakfast (Ringworm is Q and is planning to bring coupons); Life’s Choices Spring Chicken 5K Saturday, April 27th; Men’s conference at GT on Saturday May 4th; The Grill’s first Triathlon on Saturday, May 11th.  Prayer for Sheldon as he interviews for a job.

Most of the PAX invaded Four Twelve for coffeeteria.
