Bring a Friend

Friday, 32 degrees, clear.

Disclaimer verbally accepted by all.

Warm-up: IC: SSH, grass pickers, Abe Vigodas, side lunge, imperial walkers, Merkins, Mayweathers, Peter Parkers, mountain climbers, and calf stretch.  One minute to stretch anything else.  Mosey.

Mosey: two laps around church, so 1/2 mile. Along the way: side shuffle, backwards jog, touching the ground, karaoke, high knees, butt kickers, and skipping.  Stopped at hill.

Hills:  Three 30-30-30’s up the hill, jog back down. Mosey to pull-up station.

Pull-ups: Three sets of 3-5 pull-ups one at a time,  while PAX held low plank, side plank, and back plank.

The Thang: “Bring a Friend.”  Workout in three stations.  All PAX start at squats station. One PAX runs to Merkins station, does ten Merkins, and runs back to PAX, selects a brother and they both run to Merkins station for ten more Merkins.  Second PAX goes back to squats station to select another brother while first PAX runs to curls station.  After curls exercises the first PAx returns to the squats station. The exercise repeats itself until all PAX have been through all three stations.  Round 2: the squats station becomes lunges, the Merkins becomes Burpees, and the curls stations becomes the military press station.  Stations marked with labeled cones.  (Drop Box remarked that it reminded him of not getting selected for a kickball team in elementary school)

Break for People’s Chair and BTTW.  During people’s chair each PAX mentioned the name of a friend/neighbor who they would attempt to invite to a workout over the holidays.  Hence the theme.

Mary: IC -flutter kicks, American hammers, windshield wipers, LBC’s, Big Boys, and LBC’s

COT: announcements and prayer requests.  Dr. Seuss distributed car magnets and leadership descriptions.
